Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

This photograph was taken at Trillium Lake in Oregon on a night we were hoping to photograph the Northern Lights. That did not materialize so instead I tried doing a star trail. This photography uses long exposures and several images stacked together to capture the apparent motion of stars in the night sky due to the rotation of the Earth.
It is an incredibly beautiful world out there. Our goal is to try to capture some of it in our images. Living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest we never lack for places to shoot. But never pass up the chance to visit all the many other beautiful places this world has to offer. Along with all the wonderful creatures, large and small. We have also been blessed with many wonderful photographic adventures to some awesome places which we are happy to share with you.
